Parental controls in ProGameBox
Helping make gaming safer and more comfortable for children
On ProGameBox, parents can choose suitable games, manage playtime and restrict access to certain content in the account their child uses. These tools help create a more controlled gaming environment. Restrictions apply to this account, with no separate child profiles.
Why use parental controls?
- Games suit different ages and family preferences.
- Some games may contain elements you would prefer your child to avoid.
- A daily limit helps make time for other activities.
- Online games may involve interaction with other players.
- Parental controls help you agree on clear rules for using the portal.
What you can configure
Age restrictions
Choose which age characteristics are allowed: Preschool (3–6), For Everyone, or 18+ without child age restrictions. Preschool also allows games marked For Everyone. Games without a suitable age characteristic are unavailable when child age restrictions are enabled.
Daily playtime
Set a daily playtime limit. When it runs out, ProGameBox stops the active game window and limits further launches in this account.

Allowed categories
Choose the categories available to this account, such as puzzles, adventures or arcades. Age and other restrictions still apply.
Online games
Restrict games marked as online multiplayer in the catalog. This setting uses the game characteristics recorded on ProGameBox.

Your account password is required in a popup every time you enable or disable parental controls. Other settings save automatically for five minutes after confirmation; the next change after that asks for your password again.

Important: parental controls cannot guarantee complete protection
ProGameBox parental controls are an additional tool to help restrict access to games and manage playtime. They do not guarantee complete protection from unwanted content.
Some games are provided by third-party developers and run in an embedded game window (iframe). ProGameBox cannot always control everything inside them, including advertising, external links, interaction with other players and changes to game content.
Game age characteristics and categories may be incomplete or inaccurate. A game labeled for a particular age may not meet every family’s expectations.
Playtime tracking also has technical limits: the portal cannot always determine actual activity inside a third-party game.
Restrictions apply to the relevant ProGameBox account. They do not replace parental controls on a device, browser or operating system.
We recommend trying games yourself, discussing internet safety with your children and checking parental-control settings regularly.
How can you make gaming safer?
- Try the games your child plays.
- Set reasonable time limits.
- Discuss safe communication online.
- Pay attention to advertising and external links.
- Use additional parental controls on the device.
- Review allowed categories and age settings regularly.
Frequently asked questions
Can parental controls fully protect my child?
No. They are an additional tool that reduces some risks, but cannot provide absolute protection.
Does the time limit work in every game?
ProGameBox counts the active session time available to it. Actual activity inside third-party games may be measured imprecisely.
Can a child bypass the restrictions?
Bypassing restrictions cannot be ruled out, for example by signing out, using another account, browser, device or third-party site. These settings apply to this account on ProGameBox.
Does ProGameBox control advertising inside games?
Not completely. Some advertising is supplied by third-party gaming platforms and advertising systems.
Do I need an account?
Yes. A ProGameBox account is required to save personal parental-control settings. There are no separate child profiles: restrictions apply to the account you configure.
